Dallas Police Make Arrest in Home Sex Assault

Dallas police say they've made an arrest in a sexual assault that may be related to another attack that took place last month.

The latest attack happened when police said the offender assaulted a woman at her home in the 2900 block of Kendale Drive at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. He then robbed her as he escaped.

During the assault, a witness knocked on the door and asked for the woman. The offender answered the door and said she was not there.

A short time later, the man fled from the home with some of the victim's property and was spotted by the same person who had knocked on the door, police said.

Police, who said Friday they'd made an arrest but released no other details, initially described the person of interest as a man in his 20s with black, spiky hair and tattoos on his forearm.

Police said the case has similarities to a June 26 attack in the 8600 block of Lazy Acres. The descriptions of the two attackers are also similar.

Police released a sketch of the person responsible for the June attack and ask anyone with information to contact detectives.
