Man Arrested, Charged With Two Separate Dallas Murders

Man says he's involved in other felonies in the Dallas area

Dallas police say a man confessed to killing two people in the last week and says he's also been involved in other felony crimes in Texas and other states.

Juan Miguel Andrade, 31, was arrested Wednesday by Dallas police and is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail on more than $2 million bond.

Andrade, police said, admitted to shooting a man outside a Motel 6 after a dispute. In an interview with police he told investigators they could find the murder weapon not far from the motel.

Officers later recovered a .45-caliber handgun, police said.

Investigators also said Andrade was a person of interest in the murder of 48-year-old Javier Chacon and that he later admitted his involvement.

Police said .45-caliber casings were found at the Chacon murder scene and that he and the victim were somehow related.

Dallas police said Thursday that Andrade told them he's been involved in other felony crimes in the area, as well as out of state. Police said they were working to identify any other cases Andrade may have been involved with and that more charges may be forthcoming.

Andrade is now being held on two murder warrants, each with $1 million bond. He is also being held on a charge of bond forfeiture - robbery, with a $14,000 bond.
