Another year, another dose of glum news for the Dallas school district, with the release of campus-level results on 2014 statewide tests.
The number of Dallas schools classified as “needs improvement” climbed to 43, up from 34 the previous year. That means nearly 1 in 5 Dallas campuses — most of them in the city’s southern half — failed to make the grade under this year’s STAAR exams.
