Dallas ISD to Host Boundary Change Meetings for Parents

Parents in Dallas can get details on boundary changes that could mean a new school for their young students.

Dallas Independent School District officials will host two community meetings on the proposed attendance boundary changes.

The first meeting is at Francisco F. "Pancho" Medrano Middle School Tuesday at 6 p.m.

This meeting will be about the opening of Jose "Joe" May Elementary School.

Schools to be discussed are Leonides Gonzalez Cigarroa, M.D., Julian T. Saldivar, Tom W. Field, David G. Burnet and Stephen C. Foster elementary schools.

The next meeting is Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ben Milam Elementary School.

Schools to be discussed are Ben Milam, Sam Houston, Esperanza "Hope" Medrano and Martin Luther King, Jr. elementary schools for the 2016-2017 school year.

A proposed feeder pattern change at Ben Milam Elementary will also be discussed.
