Dallas Dog ‘Lamb of God' Spared Death, to Live in Austin

The Deep Ellum dog known as Lamb of God, or "Lamby," will now live in Austin following a judge's decision Monday.

Lamby is a lab mix often seen around Dallas dressed up in sunglasses or a cowboy hat in an attempt by its owner, a homeless man, to get people to pay to pose for pictures.

Last month Lamby bit a child in the parking lot of an Oak Cliff gas station, and Dallas Animal Services took the dog into its custody.

The dog was set to be euthanized, but there was an injunction last week while attorneys working on behalf of a group of concerned citizens put the process on hold.

Monday, a judge decided to spare the dog's life and send it to a no-kill nonprofit in the capitol city.
