A city employee is accused of pocketing checks and cash from the Dallas Arts District parking garage that she supervised.
Dallas police arrested 47-year-old Sharon Denise Nemons on Wednesday. She is charged with misapplication of fiduciary property and theft by a public servant.
Nemons was a supervisor from January 2006 to October 2008, when it was discovered that some of the deposits were missing from the parking garage payments. Authorities say about $100,000 in cash was taken. More than $27,000 checks was missing or deposited later.
Nemons is currently in a Dallas County jail.
No bond had been set and no attorney information was immediately available.
