Man Dead After Overnight Shooting in Dallas
A man was found dead at the Highland Park Apartments in the 6000 block of Bonnie View.  Police were called to the apartments just before 1 a.m. where they found a 27-year-old victim shot inside his apartment.  A group of men were taken in for questioning by police but no arrests have been made as of now.

Standoff in Frisco Ends Peacefully
A standoff, which began at a home in the 6500 block of Winston near Hillcrest Road, ended peacefully. A man inside the house was threatening to shoot himself, police say.  After nearly 5-hours, the man surrendered to police and was taken into custody.

North Texan Dies following Oklahoma Crash
A fourth North Texan has died following Friday night’s deadly crash on an Oklahoma turnpike near the city of Miami.  The Hayes Family was headed to a funeral in Missouri when the driver of a semi slammed into at least 3 stopped cars.  35-year-old Shelby Hayes, her husband, their 7-year-old son and Shelby’s mother Cynthia, all died from the crash.  The driver of the semi is expected to be ok. There has been no word yet on any charges.

Bible Stolen from Woman’s Car
Thieves broke into Jessica Scott of Denton County’s car and stole her Bible.  The thieves apparently ignored everything else inside the car, including money and took the Bible, which was hidden from view under a stack of books. It was not the first break-in to hit the area. A neighbor recently had several tools stolen out of their truck. Although Scott would like the bible back, she believes the thieves may need it more.

Fatal Shooting in Dallas
A fatal shooting occurred in the 5400 block of East Grand Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Monday morning.  The victim, 19-year old Antonio Arce from Mexico, was shot in the chest.  Witnesses say they heard gunshots and then saw 3 males flee on foot from towards I-30.

Irving Strengthens Solitician, Handbill Ordinance
The City of Irving strengthened its solicitation and handbill ordinance to increase pedestrian and motorist safety, and improve traffic flow and the aesthetics of major roads. The revised regulation prohibts roadside solicitation, costumed advertisers, touching other people and other actions .. see the entire story here.
