Here's a daily list of recent activities drawing the attention of North Texas law enforcement. List compiled on July 22, 2009.

WATER MAIN BREAK CLOSES DALLAS STREETS
The intersection of Canton and Hall streets was closed Tuesday evening because of a water main break. A 12-inch main pipe caused the streets to buckle, officials said. The main was repaired and the road was reopened, but repairs to the pavement will take two weeks.

POLICE SEEKING INFORMATION ON DOUBLE ROBBERY
Duncanville police are seeking the public’s help in identifying men from two robberies that occurred within minutes and in close proximity of one another on July 13. The first robbery was at Family Dollar located at 210 West Camp Wisdom Road, and the second robbery was in the same shopping center at a First Convenience Bank located inside of Kroger. The man was described as black, with a black and white beard and a large mole or birthmark on his left cheek. Duncanville police urge anyone who has information to call 972-780-5037.

HUSBAND QUESTIONED IN WIFE'S DEATH
Deborah Campbell Chatton, 55, was found dead inside her home from possible stab wounds Tuesday morning, police said. Chatton's husband, who according to neighbors had been recently released from prison, was taken in for questioning.

CAR PULLED FROM WHITE ROCK LAKE
Dallas police pulled a gold four-door sedan from White Rock Lake early Wednesday morning. Police said the car may have been stolen and dumped overnight.  A second car, also believed to be stolen, was found nearby on the 4100 block of West Lawther Drive, myfoxdfw.com reports.

POLICE ASK FOR HELP IN SEARCH OF ROBBER
Arlington police are searching for a man who robbed a CVS pharmacy last Thursday. The man entered the pharmacy on the 800-block of East Park Row Drive at about 10:40 p.m. and pulled a gun on the clerk. The man stole several cartons of cigarettes and fled the store on foot, police said. Witnesses described the man, who was also caught on surveillance camera, as black, 30 to 40 years old and about 6 feet tall with a medium build. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Detective Kyle Dishko at 817-459-5327 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS. All tipsters remain anonymous.

THIEF STRIKES TWICE, STILL ON THE LOOSE
Mesquite police are searching for a man they say robbed two businesses in the past two weeks. Investigators said the man robbed a Cracker Barrell restaurant on North Galloway on July 7 and a Jack in the Box on Town East Boulevard on July 18. Witnesses describe the man as white, middle-aged with gray hair and weighing about 190 pounds. In both robberies, the man was wearing a gray T-shirt with "Mustangs" on the front, blue jeans and brown trail boots. The man also wore a Texas Longhorns baseball cap in the first robbery and a dark-colored cap in the second. Investigators said the man is believed to be driving a dark green Acura Legend with a sunroof and tan interior. Anyone with information is asked to call the Mesquite Police Department at 972-285-6336.
