Man Wanted in $6 Million Jewel Heist Arrested in Dallas
This weekend Dallas police officers helped capture a man wanted in a $6 million jewel heist in Houston. At 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Dallas police received a tip that Kelvin Lynn O'Brien, 44, was inside Club Aura in the 2900 block of McKinney Avenue. Houston police said O'Brien was one of three men who took $6 million in jewelry, diamonds, gold and watches from KARAT 22 Jewelers in Bellaire. Jason Clay Kennedy, 47, and John Dewayne O'Brien, 40, had already been arrested in Dallas, but police said Kelvin O'Brien had been on the run since the Feb. 5 heist, that came to an end early Sunday morning. Houston police already seized $2.5 million in property purchased by the trio, which included a Cabin Cruiser, high-end Mercedes Benz, a Land Rover and a $500,000 home. Police said the men were believed to be responsible for numerous jewelry store burglaries throughout Texas.

Woman Hit by Garbage Truck on Sam Rayburn Tollway
A woman running across Sam Rayburn Tollway was hit and killed by a Waste Management truck Monday morning according to the Department of Public Safety. The call came in just before 6 a.m. when DPS investigators say the driver of a Honda Civic stopped on the right shoulder of the Tollway in the area of The Colony, and for an unknown reason she ran across the road and was hit in the center lane by the garbage truck. Troopers said the driver of the Waste Management truck stopped and put his truck in front of her so no one else would hit her. The DPS does not expect to file any charges. Drivers were forced off the Tollway onto the service road during the investigation.

DART Bus Driver Attacked With a Pipe

A Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus driver is recovering after being attacked with a pipe. It happened Sunday night near South Hampton Road and West Wheatland Road. The Dallas Morning News reported the bus driver asked a man to get off the bus because he couldn't pay, that's when the man got angry and hit the driver with a pipe he was carrying. The newspaper reports other riders jumped into action and held the man down until police arrived. The bus driver only suffered a small injury to her finger. The man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Man Charged in Fatal Stabbing of Estranged Wife
A Denton man has been charged with capital murder, police said he fatally stabbed his estranged wife at her parents' Lewisville home. Police said Tony Jesse Burrell is also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for stabbing Charlice Manning's daughter when she tried to stop the attack. Click here to read more.

Man Shot and Killed at Dallas Apartment Complex
Dallas police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man outside the Rosemont of Oak Hollow Apartments Sunday night. Police say Isaiah Roberson, 22, was shot multiple times in the driveway of the apartment complex in the 3000 block of E. Ledbetter Drive at around 9:15 p.m. Roberson was taken to Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas where he died from his injuries. Police say they have no motive for the shooting and detectives are talking to witnesses to see if it was drug related.

Teen Held in Apparent Strangling of Stepfather
Authorities in Fort Worth are questioning a 16-year-old about the apparent strangling of his stepfather. Police responded Sunday to a call about a domestic dispute and found a 47-year-old man not breathing. He died later at a hospital. Click here to read more.

Man Arrested in Bella 32 Nightclub Stabbing
A disturbance that spilled out of Bella 32 Nightclub ended with several people cut or stabbed and a man in jail according to Dallas police. Police officers working off-duty in the parking lot of the club in the 15200 block of Knoll Trail tried to disperse the crowd in the parking lot when they said they were told many people had been cut or stabbed. Witnesses told officers Danny Nguyen, 21, was responsible, police arrested him on four counts of aggravated assault.
