ONE SUSPECT CAUGHT, ONE GETS AWAY IN WATAUGA
One of two suspected burglars escaped police officers Friday morning in an east Watauga neighborhood after authorities combed a creek bed and neighborhood yards for almost two hours, the Star-Telegram Reports. But area police have several leads on the suspect who investigators believe is from Haltom City. CARJACKED AT THE GAS PUMP
Dallas police say distracted drivers are easy carjacking targets. Police report more than three dozen carjackings since the start of the year. ARLINGTON POLICE CHASE TURNS DEADLY
One man is dead after a police chase across Arlington took a deadly turn. The chase began about 2 a.m. when officers tried to pull over David Ponce Jr. on Pioneer Parkway near state Highway 360 because he was driving without headlights and speeding.Ponce lead police on a chase from east Arlington to the Fort Worth city limits, before turning around and heading north on Fielder Road. DALLAS MAN SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS ON COCAINE CONVICTION
A Dallas man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison, without parole, after pleading guilty to possession, with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of cocaine. Relvy Esquivel, 41, is a citizen and national of Mexico who is in the U.S. illegally and after he serves his sentence, he will face deportation proceedings, authorities said.
