A Dallas police officer has been arrested for assaulting a woman.
Police said the investigation started when they responded to an injured person call involving a female victim at Charlton Methodist Hospital.
Detectives in the Domestic Violence unit said an argument between Officer Julian Harris and a female escalated into a physical altercation at Harris' Dallas apartment.
Harris was later arrested for aggravated assault and transported to the Dallas County Jail. He has been placed on administrative leave.
Harris was also served with an Emergency Protective Order that requires him to no further contact with the woman.
