DPD Investigating Possible Road Rage on PGBT

Dallas police are investigating a possible case of road rage. It happened in the 5500 block of the President George Bush Turnpike Saturday night.

A 30-year-old man and his 17-year-old passenger told DPD they were getting on the PGBT by the Dallas North Tollway.

The driver noticed a jeep was driving slowly, so he flashed his high beams.

The driver said the jeep's driver began honking the horn and appeared angry.

Once on the PGBT, the couple heard two loud thuds, and realized they were bleeding.

They took off to a nearby hospital, where they were both treated for arm injuries. Police also discovered a bullet hole in their car.

Drivers NBC 5 spoke with couldn't believe the incident happened on a road they consider safe.

"That makes me really nervous, you know being a young girl, to you know be more alert of people driving on there," said Deanne Whipple.

Another driver, Soha Nasseff, said she considers North Texans friendly drivers.

"Flashing your high beams should not merit getting shot," said Nasaeff.
