Police say DNA has been used to identify a body found in May in a wooded part of Central Texas as a man reported missing in 2009.

Austin police on Wednesday announced results that identified 46-year-old Gabriel Sanchez. Police are investigating his death as suspicious. Information was not immediately released on a cause or manner death.

His family reported Sanchez missing on June 18, 2009. He was last seen about a week earlier.

Some city workers on May 9 found the skeletal remains in a wooded area of northeast Austin while working on some power lines.
