DISD Wants Your Vote on When to Start School

Holiday breaks stay the same in either proposal by the DISD.

The Dallas Independent School District wants your vote on the 2012 school year.

The district is asking parents, students, staff and community members to vote on one of two proposed options for the 2012-2013 school year.

For instance, one plan calls for a start to the school year before Labor Day, and the other with school starting the Tuesday after.  A full list of options can be seen here, along with the link to vote.

Voting will remain open through Monday, Dec. 5.

The DISD said all input will be taken into consideration in developing the recommended option that goes to the Board of Trustees in January.
