Congress makes their own rules, votes for their own pay increases and basically has say so how the country is run. DISD is only doing what our Government has been able to get away with, so...they will do it too. I do not feel it is right. This price comes not to just the adult citizens and teachers of Dallas, but the biggest loss is to the children. As we can see DISD really doesn't care about the hundreds of teachers laid off or the children that are impacted by this either. As long as their pockets are full, their bank accounts are nice and cushioned and they are not effected...they figure, let status quo! We need someone who has the guts to go up against them and boot their butts on the unemployment line like they have thrown so many of the deicated teachers. ... MORE >

Go ahead and vote your selves all in for a decade with a pay raise while you are at it. Embaressing. Where indeed are the checks and balances.
