Rescuers Search for Texas Man in Everglades

Authorities in Florida are looking for a Texas man who has been missing for a week after visiting Everglades National Park.
Jacob Olivieri entered the park Aug. 24 and his car has been parked at Pine Glades Lake ever since, National Park Service spokeswoman Linda Friar said in a statement.
It is unclear exactly where 23-year-old Olivieri is from in Texas or how long he intended to stay in the park or why he was there.
Olivieri has no known friends or relatives in the area and has officially been declared a missing person, Friar said.
Park rangers started a search for Olivieri on Monday, but found no clues of the man except his vehicle, which had not been moved, officials said.
Trackers and K-9 units are expected to join the search Wednesday, along with a Miami-Dade Police helicopter flying overhead.
