Home costs in North Texas continue to decline.

June was the 12th straight month home prices in Dallas and Fort Worth dropped compared to the previous year.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that in June, prices were done 4.3 percent from June 2010, according to the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller monthly index. However, June prices were up slightly from May of this year.

DFW isn't alone.  All 20 metro areas nationwide tracked in the index saw declines with an increase since May.

The index shows home prices for average, single-family homes.  According to the paper, home prices have returned to their 2003 levels.
