A man is recovering after being pinned beneath a DART train Thursday night.
Emergency crews were called to the White Rock Station on East Northwest Highway about 7:20 p.m. after witnesses said the man stumbled from the platform and fell underneath the approaching train.
Rescuers used inflatable air bags wedged into the gap between the train and the platform to create a space to remove the man, who was alive and communicating with rescuers at the scene.
The man was transported to Baylor University Medical Center with a broken arm and some cuts.
Train service was expected to resume later Thursday.
