DART, DISD, DPD Team Up to End Violence After School

Dallas police officers and pastors are uniting to stop last day of school fights in the Dallas Independent School District.

This is the 5th year law enforcement has increased patrols as part of the “Stop the Violence” campaign.

Officers said there can be an increase in the number of fights on the last day of school and that police and pastors will be staged around the DISD middle and high schools and also at popular DART stations.

Justice Seekers Texas, led by Rev. Ronald Wright, has helped to lead the campaign against the violence.

Since the program began organizers said the number of after-school fights has decreased.
