DART Committee Votes to Extend Benefits to Domestic Partners

A Dallas Area Rapid Transit board committee voted Tuesday to recommend that the full DART board of directors vote to extend health benefits to domestic partners of workers employed by DART.

This was a DART committee vote and did not involve the full board.

This issue has been forwarded to the board's Committee of the Whole for consideration at the Feb. 26 meeting. If passed, it would go to the full board in March.

It is not immediately known how many employees and their domestic partners would benefit if the policy is approved.
