DART is making international headlines. That's because one of their bus drivers is considered the best bus driver in North America.
Jesus Rodriguez got first place in the 40-foot bus competition for the 41st Annual International Bus Roadeo.
Rodriguez has been driving buses for nearly 20 years.
He says there was a lot of pressure competing against 39 other bus drivers competing in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Over there [Charlotte], we had to compete with a lot of good drivers from the United States and Canada,” said Rodriguez.
Not only did Rodriguez win best bus driver, but DART took top spot and was crowned Grand Champion, getting the highest combined bus driver and maintenance team score.
