Loaded Gun Left in Court's Restroom

Dallas County district attorney investigator accidentally left his loaded handgun in a restroom frequently used by criminals at the Frank Crowley courthouse, the Dallas Morning News reported.

A county security department report said Thad LaBarre left his Glock 30 Austria handgun loaded with .45-caliber hollow-point bullets in the second-floor restroom on May 8, according to the Dallas Morning News

A jail guard found the gun at 10:25 a.m. and turned it in to the courthouse security booth.  LaBarre went to the booth almost an hour later to ask about the gun, which had been turned over to the head of security.

The bathroom was located only a few feet away from the entrance to the Lew Sterrett Jail, the paper reported.
