Friends of a woman who was sexually assaulted the night the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA championship have raised thousands for a reward fund in the case.

The 30-year-old woman was attacked on her way to her car after she left a bar on Henderson Avenue.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban donated $20,000 to the Crime Stoppers reward fund for information in the case, ESPNDallas.com reported.

Friends of the victim said Cuban declined to make a statement about his donation.

The group said it the reward fund is now close to $50,000. They plan to hold fundraisers to increase the reward in the case to $100,000.

The case previously had a $15,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
