Five people, including two young children, escaped injury after a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday afternoon in northwest Fort Worth.

Their pickup truck was traveling around a blind curve on Cahoba Drive in Marion Sansom Park near Lake Worth when the occupants said an oncoming 18-wheeler was driving on their side of the street, leaving them no choice but to go off the road.

"Where he [the truck driver] would have banked the corner, we had to go straight from hitting him head-on," said Cory Cunningham, who was a passenger in the pickup.

The pickup became wedged between two cement walls in a ditch on the side of the road.

"I could have lost my family," said Cunningham.

Remarkably, the five people in the pickup, including three adults, a 4-year-old girl and an 8-month-old infant, were not injured. The driver of the pickup truck is also pregnant.

Cunningham said the driver of the semi stopped to help and called 911 but then left.

The family is still in shock, realizing it could have been much worse.

"We just have to pull ourselves out of another hole now," said Cunningham.

Police have not made any arrests and have not said if charges will be filed against any of the drivers involved.
