Corpus Christi Teen Gets Life in Prison for Kidnapping, Raping Girl

A South Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison for raping an 11-year-old girl he abducted as she rode her bicycle.

A jury in Corpus Christi on Monday also sentenced 19-year-old Jacob Musich to 99 years in prison for kidnapping. The Corpus Christi man must serve the terms concurrently.

Musich last Wednesday pleaded guilty to aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault of a child in the Dec. 27 abduction. The girl was held for a couple of hours. Two other teens who allegedly helped Musich await trial.

Musich's mother, Sharon, testified her son was addicted to synthetic marijuana.

Musich, in recorded jail phone calls, was heard telling his mother that the victim was "dumb" and it's not like he took the girl to Mexico for three days.
