Construction Worker Survives Fall From Fort Worth Bridge

A construction worker survived a fall from a Fort Worth bridge Tuesday.

It happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday on a new bridge from Loop 820 at Southwest Boulevard.

According to the Fort Worth Fire Department the man was working on equipment when it fell 50 feet from the bridge onto the eastbound service road below.

The man was seriously injured in the fall and was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment.
