Fire crews from several Collin County departments were called to battle a fire Tuesday afternoon at a home near Princeton.
The fire was reported before 4 p.m. along County Road 448, and firefighters from Princeton, Farmersville, Lowry Crossing and Wylie responded.
The house was destroyed, and fire investigators will return to the scene Wednesday morning to continue to look for a cause and determine a dollar amount of the loss of the home.
No injuries were reported in the fire, and the American Red Cross is helping the five people who lived at the home with clothing and short-term supplies.
