College Station police said investigators believe two fatal shootings at an apartment were related to drugs or an attempted robbery.
Police are seeking a man who fled after Sunday's gunfire that also left a person wounded.
Officers responding to reports of an assault found two wounded men. Police said Brysen Jamal Rhodes of Wortham and Jack Lopez of Rosenberg later died.
Lt. Steve Brock said it appears Rhodes and another man went to the apartment, where Lopez was, to buy drugs or commit a robbery. A fight broke out and both sides exchanged fire. The man with Rhodes fled.
Brock said another man was found shot inside the apartment. He was treated and released. A woman who had locked herself in the bathroom and called police wasn't hurt.
