Cockrell Hill Elementary Evacuated Due to Threat of Suspicious Device

Cockrell Hill Elementary School in DeSoto was evacuated Wednesday afternoon due to the threat of a dangerous device being left on campus.

The DeSoto Police Department told NBC 5 the school was evacuated at about noon after someone at the school received a call where the caller said a bomb would go off inside the school at 12:30 p.m.

Shortly before 4 p.m., the district posted a message on their Facebook page that school would resume Thursday on a normal schedule.
