The latest on delays and information on what is currently open

The City of Dallas is continuing to monitor the weather conditions. Here is the latest from city officials:

ROADS

Streets services are operating at Ice Force Level 1 with sanding crews operating continuously since midnight. Street conditions have improved due to the sanding response. However, icy patches remain and unnecessary travel is discouraged until conditions improve further.

Street conditions are expected to improve this afternoon, as temperatures rise above freezing. Street Services will monitor conditions and remain in Ice Force 1 until the event is over.

SANITATION

Sanitation Services has canceled all garbage, recycling and bulk/brush collections for Saturday. City transfer stations and the McCommas Bluff Landfill are open. Garbage and recycling collections for 4th week bulk and brush collections not completed Friday will be collected Monday

Friday's garbage and recycling collections or fourth week bulk and brush collections not completed will be collected on Monday, March 2 (depending on weather and available resources).

ANIMAL SERVICES

Dallas Animal Services is now open.
