Dallas, Fort Worth and other cities have rescheduled some garbage collection dates following the recent ice storm.
Dallas sanitation workers delayed pickups on Dec. 6 due to hazardous weather conditions and have rescheduled to try to pick up that refuse by the end of the day on Wednesday.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday residential collections are still scheduled to follow the normal collection days.
Fort Worth, however, has shifted collection one day for all pick-ups, except for normal Friday collections. For example, Monday collections will be made on Tuesday, Tuesday collections will be made on Wednesday, etc. Friday collections -- both for Dec. 6 and 13 -- will have collections picked up on Saturday, Dec. 14.
In Garland, trash service will return to normal as of 7 a.m. Tuesday. However, brush collections scheduled for last Friday will get picked up Tuesday.
Other cities and towns may have delayed or adjusted garbage collection times. Check your local government site for additional details.
