A 9-year-old child remains hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle Monday evening in Haltom City. [[366497951,R]]
Emergency crews were called at about 8 p.m. to the area near Huddleston Street and Banner Drive, where the boy was injured.
He was transported by air ambulance to Cook Children's Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said Tuesday afternoon the child had since been moved from the intensive care unit and was last listed in stable condition.
Police said they charged the driver whose vehicle struck the child. Vernon McFatridge, 78, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and assault with serious bodily injury, police said.
