A 1-year-old child is in critical condition after being pulled from a Fort Worth pool on Independence Day.
By the time paramedics arrived at the Emerald Hills Apartments on the 8900 block of N. Normandale Street on Thursday, the child had been pulled from the water and was unconscious.
Emergency responders began CPR and took the child to Cook Children's Hospital, where he remains Friday.
Officials wanted to remind parents that even two seconds is too long to look away from children when they are in or near water.
