Charter Bus Catches Fire on U.S. Highway 75

    A charter bus caught fire along U.S. Highway 75, Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014.

    Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a bus fire along U.S. Highway 75 south of Royal Lane Tuesday morning.

    Evidence of a fire and fire suppression chemicals are evident at the scene.

    The bus, with the markings of charter company Regiomontanos, is in the southbound service lane; three lanes of U.S. 75 are passing on the left.

    Dozens of passengers are standing in the service lane, flanked by police cars to protect them from passing motorists.

    No injuries have been reported and no further details have been confirmed.
