Carrollton Police Arrest Capital Murder Suspect

A business owner was shot when he caught a man trying to rob his store

Police have arrested a capital murder suspect for killing a Carrollton business owner on Saturday.

Officials said that Andrew Gibson was arrested Saturday night for killing Alfred Armour early Saturday morning.

Carrollton police said they quickly identified Gibson as the suspect and arrested him in the block of 1400 Halsey Way, at his own business.

Officials said that Gibson attempted to rob Armour’s store in the 1400 block of Lemay Drive. Gibson shot Armour when he caught him robbing the store.

Police said that Gibson faces a Capital Murder charge. He was transferred to the Denton County Jail on Sunday, and is being held without bond.
