A Carrollton man has won a $1 million prize in the Mega Millions lottery.
Sammie R. Robbins won the second-tier prize in the July 21 drawing after purchasing a quick pick ticket at the 7-Eleven on the 3700 block of Old Denton Road.
Robbins’ ticket matched all five numbers drawn (20-30-62-65-74), but not the Mega Ball (1).
Mega Millions is played by picking five different numbers from one to 75 and one number from one to 15. To win the Mega Millions jackpot, players must match all six numbers drawn including the Mega Ball.
