A construction worker was seriously injured after falling approximately 56 feet at a work site in The Colony Friday afternoon.[[368635721,R]]
The worker, an unidentified 36-year-old Hispanic man, was working on the exterior of a hotel under construction on the 3600 block of Plano Parkway when he tripped over the scaffolding and fell to the ground, according to Sgt. Jay Goodson with The Colony Police Department.
Goodson said the man was conscious but suffered broken bones and head trauma in the fall.
CareFlite transported the man to a North Texas hospital for treatment.
