An Arlington woman was rocked awake Monday morning after a car slammed into her living room.

A red Honda crashed into a brick house in the 3500 block of Green Hill Drive at about 2:30 a.m. Monday.

The car jumped the curb, drove over the front yard and slammed through the living room wall.

Debris and glass were thrown across the yard and into the house. The homeowner said she feels lucky she wasn’t hurt.

"I thought a bomb had gone off,” Mattie Davis said. ”It wasn't a little bit [of damage], the car was all the way in and it was like all this came down at one time."

The driver of the Honda was injured and is being treated at a local hospital. The passenger of the car was taken into police custody to give a statement.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
