Camper Stabbed to Death at Lake Worth

One person has been taken into custody after a camper was stabbed to death early Wednesday morning at Lake Worth.

At about 2:30 a.m., a group of people were camping out at the lake when they were approached by a stranger.  It's not entirely yet clear what took place next, but an altercation was reported to have led to the fatal stabbing of one of the campers.

A 911 call was then received where a man said he had just killed someone who had tried to assault him. 

Officers arrived at the location and found a deceased man who had been stabbed multiple times in the face and neck area.

Fort Worth police have taken someone into custody and officials said that person has admitting to stabbing the man. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene, which is near the 9800 block of Watercress Drive.

So far, investigators have not revealed any further information about the altercation that led to the man's death.
