Water utilities crews were busy Wednesday morning fixing a busted water main in Dallas.

The line ruptured along the 11300 block of Denton Drive near Royal Lane and sent thousands of gallons of water shooting 40 feet into the air.

The crew repaired the 8-inch pipeline and restored water service to the area at about 7:15 a.m.
