George W. Bush's presidential library is not scheduled to open until 2013 but potential traffic kinks are already being studied.

A study commissioned by the Bush Foundation concluded that the existing transportation system can adequately accommodate the library at Southern Methodist University.

The Dallas Morning News reports University Park officials are not so sure and newly hired traffic consultant Jody Short will meet with city staff this week.

The consultant will analyze the Bush Foundation's recently submitted zoning application.

University Park public works director Bud Smallwood said city officials hope to offer the consultant's results in time for a Nov. 10 public hearing.

The 225,000-square-foot presidential center, honoring the nation's 43d president, will be on the east edge of SMU. The Bush Foundation study assumed the library will draw 250,000 visitors annually.
