Bush Family Member to Run for Office?

Another member of the Bush family could be throwing his hat in the political arena.

The New Republic is reporting that George P. Bush, the 36-year-old son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, nephew of former President George W. Bush and grandson of former President George H.W. Bush, has filed paperwork to run for office in Texas.

But it's not known which office he has chosen to run for. The paperwork allows him to collect campaign contributions.

George P. Bush's mother is Mexican. Former president George H.W. Bush once referred to him as one of the "little brown ones," when referring to his Mexican-American grandchildren.

George P. Bush can speak Spanish and is no stranger to campaigning, helping out his grandfather, father and uncle in their races.

Last month, he stumped for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Florida. He's also a Rice University and University of Texas grad, a Navy Reserve officer and the head of MavPac, a political action committee.

GOP insiders eager to make in-roads with Latino voters see George P. Bush as a promising star if he decides to run for office.
