Burleson Police Make Second Arrest in Bank Robbery, Detective Shootings

Man believed to be the accomplice of a man who shot two detectives

On Christmas Eve Burleson police arrested a second person in connection with a bank robbery and the shooting of two detectives.

Officials with the Burleson Police Department said Thursday 22-year-old Lamarcus Antwon Jones was arrested at his place of work on Christmas Eve and charged with aggravated robbery.

Police believe Jones was the driver of the getaway vehicle involved in the robbery of a Wells Fargo bank on the 400 block of East Renfro Street on Dec. 19.

Jones' arrest, police said, was a joint operation involving Burleson Police Department investigators, the STOP Special Crimes Unit and the Fort Worth Zero Tolerance Unit.

Police said Jones is the accomplice of 19-year-old Andre Jackson Jr, who was arrested following a shootout that injured Burleson police detectives David Feucht and Nick Grace. Since the shooting, both officers have been treated and released from the hospital.

Police said Jackson shot the officers while attempting to run from the bank robbery. He was arrested at a 7-Eleven following the shooting and was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon and one felony charge of aggravated robbery.

Jones is currently being held on $500,000 bond; Jackson is being held on $1.5 million bond.
