Burglar Shot, Killed by Police: FWPD

Fort Worth police say a suspected burglar was shot and killed Friday morning.

At around 8:30 a.m. a homeowner called in a burglary in progress in the 2004 block of Loving Avenue, police said.

The homeowner told dispatchers she was hiding in her master bedroom as a man was trying to get into the home and had already broken a window.

When officers arrived on scene, police said the man ran around to the back of the home where he ran into another police officer.

Police said the man pointed a gun at the officer, who then opened fire and shot the man several times.

The man was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
