Budweiser Big Rig Involved in Big Wreck

10 people left injured

A multi-vehicle wreck involving a Budweiser semi-truck Thursday left 10 people injured and shut down part of Interstate 20, Weatherford police said.

The semi-truck was traveling eastbound near the 408 exit of I-20 when it apparently veered out the eastbound lanes and crossed through the cables into westbound traffic, investigators said.

When the semi-truck veered out of its lanes, it caused a sport utility vehicle traveling next to it to do the same. Once the semi-truck and SUV entered the westbound lanes of traffic, five other vehicles collided into them, investigators said.

Chopper 5 video showed the Budweiser truck jack-knifed in the westbound lanes with the other vehicles wrecked against its sides.

Ten people were transported to hospitals in the area, where they were reported to be in stable condition.

Officers diverted motorists onto the 413 exit in Hudson Oaks as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
