Boyfriend of Slain Pregnant Teen Arrested

The boyfriend of a pregnant teenager found dead Tuesday inside a Flower Mound apartment was arrested Friday, police said.
Police began searching for 16-year-old Brittany Munoz's 20-year-old boyfriend, Garrett Cole Gower, as a "person of interest" after Munoz was found by her sister inside the family's unit located in the 1700 block of Timber Creek Road.
A capital murder warrant was issued for Gower at about 2:30 p.m. Friday and he was taken into custody hours later, Flower Mound police said.
Investigators said Gower had spent Monday night at the apartment and left early Tuesday.
Investigators said Munoz died from blunt force trauma. Her funeral service was held Friday.
