Audrey Richman Kaplan, of Dallas, went missing while hiking in the mountains near Santa Fe, NM.

The body of a Dallas woman who went missing while hiking with her husband in the New Mexico mountains was found Monday, state police say.

Audrey Richman Kaplan, 75, had last been seen on Wednesday.

She went hiking with her husband, Dr. Norm Kaplan, on the Windsor trail, part of the Santa Fe Ski Basin. When Norm Kaplan stopped to take a break, his wife continued on but never returned.

Dozens of people joined the search for the woman, and New Mexico State Police said volunteers found her body about a mile northwest of where she was last seen.

A medical examiner will determine her cause of death.
