Body Found in San Angelo Street, Man Arrested

Police say a West Texas driver has been charged with killing an acquaintance who was hit while riding a bicycle and then fatally shot.

Tom Green County jail records show Stephano Culbreath of San Angelo was being held Thursday on murder and possession of a controlled substance charges.

San Angelo police are seeking a motive in the killing of David Titus, whose body was found last Saturday on a street.

Culbreath was arrested hours later when he drove near the crime scene and seemed preoccupied with the investigation. Police say they found methamphetamine in his SUV. The bumper had marks consistent with the bicycle.

Culbreath was held without bond on the murder count and $50,000 bond in the drug case. Online records don't list an attorney to speak for him.
