A body found in Euless Friday does belong to teenager missing since May 4.

A man walking his dog found the decomposing body in a wooded area at about 2 p.m. behind the Chase Motor Bank on the corner of Industrial Boulevard and Euless Boulevard, police said.

Euless police said Saturday that through a fingerprint the Medical Examiner's office was able to identify the body as that of 19-year-old Ashley Valladares. The cause of death has still not been determined.

The location where the body was found is only a block away from the Euless Police Station and a block or so from Valladares apartment.

Euless police said they were interviewing several people, but could not call the case a homicide as of this writing.

Ashley Valladares Reported Missing

Valladares regularly gave haircuts out of the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, according to a report in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram

At 11:30 p.m. May 4, Valladares agreed to cut a man's hair even though her boyfriend, Christopher Taylor, was against the idea at such a late hour. Taylor reportedly left the apartment in a huff, the paper reported, and when he returned at about 2 a.m. Valladares and the customer where nowhere to be found.

Valladares' father, Jamil, filed a missing persons report two days later, the paper said.

In a news release, the police department said the relationship between Valladares and Taylor was strained and that the officer who responded to the missing persons report had been at the couple's apartment the week before due to the couple arguing.

Since that time, Taylor has consented to a search and a polygraph test.  The results of the search and polygraph didn't reveal anything odd, police said.

The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.
