Bodies Identified as Missing Baytown Teens

Authorities have identified two bodies found in a Southeast Texas bayou as teenagers who had gone missing two weeks ago.

Authorities said at a news conference Friday that they have charged a 20-year-old with capital murder in the case but that the suspect is not yet in custody.

Alex Chavez, 18, and 17-year-old Jarvis Morgan, both high school students in Baytown, had disappeared Feb. 19.

Their bodies were found on Thursday in the bayou near Anahuac, about 30 miles east of Baytown.

Autopsies will determine the causes of death.

Officials say a tip led them to the site where the bodies were found.
